The story behind Bearfut
Bearfut was born from a very special need close to my heart: finding the perfect shoes for my son. When he took his first steps, I wanted him to have shoes that respected the natural development of his feet, that would accompany him on his adventures and help him walk freely and confidently. However, I soon realized how difficult it was to find ergonomic footwear for toddlers in Colombia. That's when I realized I wasn't the only mom facing this challenge.
This is how Bearfut was born, a brand that connects two fundamental ideas: the freedom to walk barefoot, encouraging natural and healthy development, and respect for nature. The name Bearfut comes from the English word "barefoot," which means barefoot, and is also inspired by the spectacled bear, a symbol of strength, freedom, and balance with the environment. Our mascot represents these values, which we want to convey with every step taken by the children who wear our shoes.
Each pair of Bearfut shoes is designed for the real needs of children's feet, with wide lasts, flexible soles, and high-quality materials. It's not just a brand, but a mission to transform the way we think about children's footwear, ensuring that every step counts both for the healthy development of children and for the care of the planet. Because every child deserves to grow up with freedom and comfort, and every step they take can be as strong and free as the bear that inspires us.

Hello! I'm Andi, a very curious spectacled bear who lives in the beautiful Andean forests. Did you know that these forests are full of huge paths that hide incredible surprises? I discovered it with my own paws and I'll tell you my whole story.
First, let me introduce myself. I'm a spectacled bear, that's what they call me because of the marks on my face that look like glasses. I'm already 5 years old and I'm a very intelligent explorer. I live in the high-altitude forests and in the moors too! Can I tell you a secret? I can be up to two meters tall and weigh up to 175 kilos if I eat well!
One of my favorite things to do is climb. Did you know that spectacled bears are excellent climbers? It's true! We have claws that help us hold onto trees and climb more easily. With my paws, I go up and down trees, exploring every corner of my house. What do you like to do?
Besides eating, I also love to eat. Although I eat almost everything, fruits and plants are what I like the most. What is your favorite food? And here comes something very important: when I eat fruits, I help plant giant plants! How? Well, because when I eat fruits, the seeds travel with me and then I scatter them as I walk. That's how I help forests grow even bigger!
One day, while I was exploring, I came across a river. Carefully, I approached and managed to see many fish, they were swimming and jumping, so I said to myself: This is the moment you've been waiting for! With my paws, I tried to fish and walk on the shore. It was spectacular! Although I didn't manage to catch anything, I will improve and explore other streams. But I learned that the river is a living treasure. A wealth that we must take care of. What if we do it together?
After my adventure on the river, I returned home to my family and told them everything I had seen and learned. And so, with my paws and my curiosity, I continue exploring and caring for the Andean mountain range, my home. Because spectacled bears like me are guardians of this place, and we will always be here to protect and enjoy them!

Founder of BearfutI am an economist by profession, and before starting my own business, I worked in economic research at universities and public sector entities, focusing on the social evaluation of projects. I always believed that every project undertaken should have a positive impact on people's well-being, and today, with Bearfut, I can proudly say that I am achieving that goal. My journey as an entrepreneur began when I became a mother and faced the difficulty of finding footwear that would respect the natural development of my son's feet. From that need, Bearfut was born, a dream come true: to design ergonomic shoes that not only take care of the health of children but also make life easier for families. Bearfut is not just a business venture; it's a purpose. It makes me happy to know that through this project, I am helping children grow up with freedom and comfort, while supporting other parents in this search for the best for their children.
